NSI.GOLD / EDITORIAL STANDARDS
Evidence before
assertion.
A research publication should make the boundary between what was observed, what is inferred and what is proposed easy to inspect.
Three layers of a responsible explanation.
Evidence
Evidence refers to observations reported by a source under defined conditions. Readers should inspect the original methods, sample, measures and limitations. A citation identifies a source; its presence alone does not establish that every nearby claim is supported.
Interpretation
An interpretation connects observations to a possible explanation. Applying a laboratory finding to financial decision-making introduces assumptions about context and generalization. These steps should remain distinguishable from the source finding.
Hypothesis
A hypothesis describes a question that can be tested. NSI’s proposed dimensions belong to a research framework whose reliability, explanatory value and any predictive performance require explicit evaluation.
What to check in an article.
Follow the reference.
Use the bibliography to inspect the original study or institutional data. Check whether the source reports an experiment, an association, a review or a market observation. These forms of evidence answer different questions.
Keep context attached.
A result should be read with its population, measurement method and time horizon. Market observations belong to their stated date and instrument. Embedded charts may display newer information than the article discusses.
Look for alternatives.
Ask whether another mechanism could explain the observation, whether the result has been replicated and whether a simpler baseline would perform as well. A compelling story is not a substitute for an independent test.
What the evidence panel means.
The “Evidence & Interpretation” panel is a topic-based reading guide. It highlights questions to ask of the article and its sources. It is not an automated assessment of study quality, an independent fact-check, a peer-review endorsement or a validation badge.
Images and market graphics
Editorial illustrations communicate concepts; they are not experimental recordings. Historical analytical graphics retain their date context. External market widgets should be interpreted with their provider’s availability, delays and instrument definitions.
Scientific status
NSI.GOLD is an independent interdisciplinary research and education platform developed by Gabriel Nicolaev – CyGuru. NSI is a proposed framework, not an independently validated medical or financial prediction system. Educational discussion does not establish an individualized diagnosis or a guaranteed trading outcome.
