NSI MARKET / EVENT STUDY

Keep the source.

Compare a recorded price with observations 5, 15 and 60 minutes later. This tool calculates from your imported data; it does not collect live prices or verify the event source.

Use the event’s verified publication time where a price observation exists at exactly that timestamp. If using a candle-close proxy, state that explicitly in your event name. Do not relabel a later price as the release price.

Two columns: timestamp, close. Use ISO timestamps with timezone, such as 2026-10-27T12:30:00Z. Prices must be positive and timestamps unique. Include exact observations at the event time and the required horizons.

What this calculation does—and does not—show.

Absolute change is the later price minus the event-time observation. Percentage change is that difference divided by the event-time price, multiplied by one hundred. Missing observations remain missing; the tool does not interpolate, estimate or invent a price. Windows that have not elapsed are marked incomplete.

A movement after an event does not establish that the event caused it. Other news, liquidity changes and unrelated order flow may occur in the same window. Results describe the file you supply and are not a trading signal or an NSI validation result.
